What is Criminal Minds ?!

CRIMINAL MINDS is an American police procedural drama that differs from many procedural dramas by focusing on the victims and the criminal rather than the crime itself. CRIMINAL MINDS revolves around an elite team of profilers from the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) at Quantico, Virginia. Profilers analyze the country's most twisted criminal minds (get it?) in an effort to anticipate their next moves before they strike again. Each team member brings his or her own area of expertise to the table as they pinpoint predators' motivations and identify their emotional triggers in the attempt to stop them.

What It Means To Me . .

To me, my love for Criminal Minds isn't about the murder or investigation in the slightest. I stay for the dynamic of the agents in the BAU! JJ and Prentiss, Derek and Penelope, Derek and Reid ! The way these agents have so much love and admiration for one another despite all the trauma they've been through together . . It really speaks to me. Even the way the characters develop themselves, it's so interesting to me. The way that Elle slowly falls into insanity after being violated and almost murdered by a serial killer, the way Reid becomes addicted to narcotics after they were forced into his bloodstream by a psychotic murderer -- the writers worked so hard to establish the characters, explain why they do the things they do, just like they explain why the criminals do the heinous things they do. I am so enamored with the realism of their actions, considering how much trauma they go through on the daily, it makes so much sense that they aren't perect humans that don't do wrong things, they act irrationally when someone they care for has been hurt, they don't follow protocol when they're put under so much pressure to keep people they love alive, it just makes so much sense. Ever since I began watching it at the beginning at 2025, I've been in love with it! If you're able to stomach it, this show and it's writing is an experience nobody can miss!
